The Dynavox VC80 record clamp is a practical alternative to traditional record stabilizers that rely on added mass. Instead of weight, it uses a precise clamping mechanism to secure the vinyl record firmly to the platter during playback.

By preventing the record from slipping and reducing unwanted resonances, the VC80 helps improve playback stability and sound clarity. The increased stability also contributes to a longer lifespan of both the vinyl record and the stylus.

Thanks to its low overall weight, the VC80 is significantly gentler on sensitive platter bearings than heavy record weights. It supports better speed consistency and is especially well suited for suspended subchassis turntables, where additional mass on the platter can negatively affect performance.

The clamping assembly is made from anodized aluminium on the top section, combined with polyoxymethylene (POM), an engineering plastic commonly used in precision mechanical components, ensuring durability and reliable operation.
