Description
The Ortofon OM 5E is a Moving Magnet (MM) turntable cartridge designed for balanced, distortion-free vinyl playback, featuring an elliptical stylus for accurate groove tracking and clean sound reproduction.
This cartridge fits standard 1/2" mounts and is built around Ortofon’s OM concept for tonearm matching. A removable weight plate is integrated into the mounting bracket, allowing compatibility with both standard and low-mass tonearms. With the weight plate installed, the cartridge weight is 5 g, and without it the cartridge weight is reduced to 2.5 g.
One of the key advantages of the OM 5 Series is stylus interchangeability. The OM body allows upgrading sound performance by changing the stylus without replacing the entire cartridge, supporting a wide range of replacement styli depending on system needs and budget.
