Common mistakes to avoid

• Handling the new belt with bare fingers, skin oils cause slipping. Use tweezers or clean hands with alcohol first.
• Not cleaning old belt residue off the pulleys, degraded rubber turns to goo and the new belt will slip. Clean every pulley with isopropyl alcohol before fitting.
• Forgetting the routing, take a photo of the old belt path before removing anything.
• Twisting a flat or square belt during fitting, it must sit flat in the pulley groove.
• Overstretching the belt while installing, walk it gently over the pulleys instead of pulling hard.
